Results
First, the honorable mentions.
As you might see, my most played artist of the year is Greywind. This Irish emocore / punkpop band has fully grasped me.
There's a bit of a punkpop vibe going on, I listened/re-discovered a lot of Driveways.
Ecca Vandal (with the song BLEED BUT NEVER DIE) was a nice discovery. She's got a nice mix of electronic, hiphop and punk.
Gutter (hardcore punk) with their song Ravine, goes extra hard together with the music video.
Killstreak was discovered as well, this deathcore band is basing their songs on popular video games.
Shortlist
To be honest, this short list was just a draft so I could pick the song. It's so hard to pick just 1 song, y'all!
Managed to get it down to 18, then forced myself again and ended up with 8.

Winner: Total Buzzkill - The Matriarch
After beating out Crush++ - No Lids, No Love's nostalgic factor, Total Buzzkill takes the crown.
This metalcore/melodic hardcore outfit from Australia (fuck me, where else?) released this song exclusively for the movie The Matriarch.
It starts out electronic, almost phonk-ish. Screaming bridge, multi-vocal choir into a melodic chorus. The electronics add both upbeat sections as well as dark undertones.
