Thinking of my #IndieWeb friends..
I added OpenTelemetry to my site (mostly as a technical exercise) and I'm quite often monitoring Nginx's access.log..
I've got Cloudflare activated and turned on all the anti-bot settings.. but so much still gets through. I'm basically blocking any Tencent ASNs the moment I find a new one.
This made me think of my IndieWeb friends who might not be aware how their hosts are bombarded by useless traffic. All of this still costs bandwidth and resources..
